Just before he died, Moebius was hired by the French town/commune of Montrouge to design an elaborate mural for the cultural center within their primary governmental building(I apologize, but I’m not particularly clear on the regional nomenclature concerning these things). He died before the painting began, but the mural team 7th Sense completed it in September of 2012. It is 170 square meters(about 550 feet)… and I mean just look at this thing.

Some people probably think of it as a question of ethics, or conversely share an opinion along the lines of, “rip the system, down with the man, kill your parents and hang the bankers,” perhaps even more likely, they simply don’t like being subjected to advertisements on a medium they already pay…
